From the well-kept collection of a meticulous Doll collector: Miss Gene Marshall in "Encore" (take 2) RARE! HER HAIRSTYLE, MAKEUP, ENSEMBLE, AND ACCESSORIES HAVE ALL BEEN ENHANCED AND OR CHANGED. THIS RECREATION INCLUDES BOTH ITS ORIGINAL COA AND A NOTARIZED NEW COA BY THE ARTIST. Miss Gene Marshall in "Encore" is brand new, and has been professionally styled specifically for this ensemble. Her lovely, long blond, wavy hair has been styled into a twisted chignon, with one side swept all the way over from the other. - the perfect style and color for her beaded, flower hair adornment. It sits perfectly to the side of her chignon, with the beading reaching around to the back, and can be easily seen and appreciated with this color of hair. Her makeup has been slightly altered to feature a taupe colored brow, with a glossy shade of purplish maroon lipstick, and a tiny bit of silver sparkle has been added to her eyeshadow with a darker lined eye for evening wear. Her ensemble is brand new and professionally steam pressed. Her earrings and necklace are custom-made, and she wears the original beaded bracelet that came with this ensemble. Her earrings are silvertoned and dangle featuring black, lavender, and purplish maroon colored glass crystal beads. Her necklace is double stranded, one strand is of black glass beads, featuring a pendant that matches her earrings, and the other strand being slightly shorter and featuring a pattern of black, lavender, and purplish maroon colored glass crystal beads.

The necklace has a magnetic closure for ease in removal and attachment. Miss Marshall's bracelet and flowered hair adornment have beads that coordinate perfectly with her jewelry, and the beading on her dress. She carries a Black Velvet clutch bag featuring Crystal adornment and a sparkling silver hand strap, which ties in perfectly with her maroon colored, black beaded and ribboned, evening cape.

The Cape is princess length, and has been custom-made, as has her purse, especially for this ensemble. The Cape is fully lined in coordinating silk, and ties in the front with black silk ribbon. A Retailers Exclusive, "Encore" is a classic fitted evening gown, circa 1947.

The dress is of a rich and regal dark purple satin material. The bodice is accented with a criss-cross pattern in subtle grayish white satin, highlighted with amethyst-colored beads in shimmering silvery settings. The grayish white accent continues criss-crossing down the back of the gown, widening into a bustle-like bow, lined in maroon silk satin and ending with a beaded Fringe, where the tales of the bow stream down the back. The dress has a slight train, but fits Miss Marshall like a glove, perfectly. To finish her look, Miss Marshall wears full length white Opera gloves with bead accents at the wrist, nude hosiery, and maroon colored tie back heeled shoes.

There are some dresses that seem so well suited to someone that others can hardly imagine anyone else in the whole world wearing it except for the person it was made for. That is certainly the case for the evening gown worn by Miss Gene Marshall in the "Encore" ensemble. It seems so perfectly right for her.

It's glamorous, it's unique, it's sexy, and it's certainly a showstopper! This ensemble is now complete with purse, jewelry, and cape, and is honestly just far too wonderful to be worn only once by Gene.

The contrast of her blonde hair is a wonderful change from the original, and actually, the first version and the second version can be well displayed right next to each other in Gene's world. On stage to sing an inspiring impromptu duet-and inspires him to become a star. Now the GL is back in the states and a big hit. But not so big that he can't host a benefit for "all those folks who don't have it as good as me, " The benefit is a smash-and who should be sitting in the front row, resplendent in silver and purple, but Gene Marshall herself.

Gene Marshall- it's my turn to ask YOU to come up on stage! " Gene joins him to thunderous applause, and together they "encore the song that started his career.
